Jun Oson - Not Alone
Giving Volume to Vector Art
The challenge with Jun Oson’s work is translating his iconic, flat graphic style into 3D space without losing its charm. I developed this digital sculpture along side Jun to feel like a 'living illustration' by carefully modeling the curves and volumes to catch the light softly, preserving the clean, pop-art aesthetic of his original 2D sketches while giving it the weight and presence of a physical object.
3D digital final
Environmental Integration: The asset was engineered to 'sit' realistically on physical surfaces, grounding the digital character in the real world.
Augmented Reality final piece
The Source Material: Jun Oson’s original 2D sketch.
Topology & Volume: Clean quad-geometry ensures the character deforms correctly while maintaining a smooth, 'vector-like' surface finish.
